KJ-52 and Group 1 Crew are getting ready to kick off the "Modern Day Hereos" tour later this month. While this tour will be filled with plenty of great music and tons of fun, there is much more to it.
The Firestarter Bible Study is the first part of "more" to this tour. Fans who buy their tickets online will be able to go to the study, led by KJ-52 and the members of Group 1 Crew, and learn about the book of Luke before the show.
A search for local heroes is the second part of the "more." Fans can nominate a local "Modern Day Hero" in every city that the tour hits. The nominees need to embody dedication to ministry, the community, and others around the area. The selected hero will be honored in their city when the "Modern Day Hero" tour hits their town.

... that singer/songwriter Jon Troast will be touring for the first six months of 2010 without charging a single penny for his shows? Instead of charging admission for his shows, he will be relying 100% on CD and digital music sales to pay all of his bills!
You can go to his website and sign up to have him come to your very own living room to play a show! Imagine being able to invite all of your friends to come see a performance by a man that Christianity Today called "a sophisticated singer/songwriter bearing similarities to David Gray and John Mayer with the lyrical eloquence of David Wilcox and James Taylor."
If you're not familiar with Jon, you can download his single, "Living Room Tour" for free or check out the video for the song on YouTube.

To say that I listen to a lot of music would be something of an understatement. Sometimes the music is nothing more than good background noise. Other times it has me dancing in my chair, grinning like a fool and pointing towards the heavens as I praise. But then there are those times that it's as though the songs are more a soundtrack of my day or my life. It's during those times that it's as though God himself is speaking to me through the song that I'm listening to.
Does that happen to you? Have you ever found yourself in the middle of a situation that has you desperate for answers, yet you can't seem to put into words what you're feeling, and then suddenly, a song is speaking your heart? If so, please share your story. The very song that God used to speak to you may help someone else who is struggling.
